    First Edition, Illustrated, Original Binding, Publishers' Original Binding, Very Scarce

    The first edition. 

    Illustrated with a monochrome frontispiece and five monochrome plates. 

    This very scarce work was written by Ebenezer Wilmshurst and features a collection of Christian parables intended to warn and guide the young. 

    Publisher's advertisements to the rear. 

    In the publisher's original cloth.

    Condition

    In the publisher's original cloth. Externally generally smart with fading to the spine, a slight lean and minor bumping to the extremities, with the rear hinge failed after the endpapers. Internally firmly bound with offsetting to the front blanks with light age toning and the odd spot.
