The first U.K. edition.

Three short novellas by Henry James, inspired by his travels. Including 'Lady Barberina', 'A New England Winter', and 'The Impressions of a Cousin'. 

Henry James was an American-British author, known for his works 'The Portrait of a Lady', 'The Ambassadors', and 'The Turn of the Screw'. His writing was emblematic of the transition between literary realism and literary modernism, and is considered to be one of the greatest novelists of the English language.

Condition

In a half calf binding with marbled paper to the boards. Externally, worn. Circulating library label to the front board. Front joint is torn, resulting in the backstrip listing. Light rubbing to the boards and spine. Minor bumping to the extremities. Loss to the head and tail of the spine. Front hinge is starting but firm. Internally, generally firmly bound. Pages are bright and generally clean with scattered spots.
