A very scarce work. 

Illustrated with a folding hand coloured plate, a chromolithographic menu plate, a folding monochrome plan and a monochrome portrait plate. Collated, complete. 

An order of service for the 'Pitt Centenary Festival' held at the Grocer's Hall in London on Thursday 28th February 1884. The festival commemorated 100th anniversary of the ceremony held in 1784 for William Pitt's 'Freedom of the City of London' award. 

William Pitt was the last Prime Minister of Great Britain from 1783-1800, and the first Prime Minister of the United Kingdom.

Condition

In the publisher's original cloth. re-backed. Externally excellent with light rubbing to the extremities. Internally, binding from 4-12pp tender, otherwise binding strained, pages lightly age toned and clean.
