    French. Fifth edition. A vast dictionary of synonyms in the French language with an introduction to the theory of synonyms. With part one focusing on synonyms with the same radical and part two on synonyms where the radical differs. Winner of the Linguistics Prize for the years 1853 and 1858. With a supplement to the rear. Written by B. Lafaye, a french professor of philosophy and Dean of the Faculty of Letters of Aix.

    Condition

    Bound in full cloth. Externally, sound with rubbing and minor bumping to the extremities resulting in minor loss to the board tips. Fading to the spine with the odd small mark to the boards. With a library sticker to the head of the spine. Hinges starting but firm. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright with minor age toning to the extremities. Library ink stamps to the front endpaper, half title, and title page.
