Scarce work. Illustrated with a frontispiece, eight plates, one of which is in colour, and numerous in-text images. A full and comprehensive enclyclopaedia of domestic requitements, being a guide to many important factors in housekeeping. With each reference arranged alphabetically, this work provides information on all sorts of subjects, from accidents, bills of fare, and carpets, to vaccinations, water supply, and yeast. Produced by Letts of London (formerly Letts, Son & Co. Ltd. and Charles Letts & Co. Ltd.), a brand of stationery that originates from the mid-eighteenth century. It manufactures a range of stationery products, including notebooks, journals, diaries, personal planners, guest books and address books.

Condition

Rabacked with the original half calf binding. Externally, sound with rubbing to the extremities and the odd small mark. Light fading to the spine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright with the odd small spot. Light spotting to the first and last few pages with minor age toning to the extremities.
