This work lead Pailleron to a role as the Director of the Comédie Française and co-director of the Revue des Deux Mondes. Written by Edouard Jules Henri Pailleron, a French dramatist and poet best known for this work and his piece Le Monde où L'On S'Ennuie.
Condition
Bound in quarter crushed morocco with patterned boards. Externally, very smart with light rubbing and minor loss to the extremities. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean with light age toning. Previous owner's bookplate to the front pastedown.
