Description

Leather Binding

Set during the Napoleonic wars Blackmore explores the struggles faced by the hero and heroine and how their lives span Sussex and Spain.

The narrative follows how the Alice and Hilary try to save the noble Lorraine family from ruin. Through doing so they grow and discover more about themselves developing and changing from how they begin.

Alice Lorraine was first serialised in the Blackmore Magazine from March 1874 to April 1875. This seventh edition condenses the novel within one volume.
