Illustrated with eight full-page colour illustrations, two double-page black-and-white illustrations, and one full-page black-and-white illustration, as well as numerous in-text illustrations. Collated, complete.
A lively ballad concerning the European folk tradition of dancing around the maypole, with the sheet music for the old English ballad 'Come, Lasses and Lads', harmonized by Sir George Alexander Macfarren (1813-1887). Delightfully illustrated throughout by G. A. Konstam, E. Casella and N. Casella.

Condition
In the publisher's original pictorial paper wraps. Externally generally smart, though lightly soiled, with a little creasing to the lower corner of the front of the wrap. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean.
