Written by, Henry Kingsley, an English novelist, and the brother of Charles Kingsley. Bound by Bickers & Son, Leicester Square, London.
Condition
Spine rebacked onto full brown calf. Externally, smart with rubbing to the extremities. Fading to the spine and rear board. The odd small mark to the boards. Hinges starting but firm. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean with the odd spot. Light scattered spotting to the first and last few pages. School prize bookplate and previous owner's bookplate to the front endpapers. Contemporary ink inscription dated 1948 to the front endpaper. Join at the reverse of the half title reinforced with tape.
