This collection of Shakespeare's works was prepared from the texts of the first folio, and the quartos and compared with recent commentators by the editor of the 'Chandos' classics. The volume also includes a glossary and a biography on the legendary writer.
Undated, dated by copies held institutionally.
Condition
Bound in a full calf prize binding for 'Hillbrow Rugby School' with their gilt crest to the front. Externally very smart with fading to the spine and slight marks to the boards. Internally firmly bound with very lightly age toned and clean pages with light spotting to the front, minimal offsetting to the title page and a past owner's signature to the front blank.
