With eight engravings on steel, including a frontispiece and title page. Collated, complete. 

In the original decorative cloth binding. 

Introduced with a biography of the Anglo-Irish writer before offering a selection of his poetry and prose, including 'The Vicar of Wakefield', 'The Deserted Village' and his miscellaneous essays, such as 'On the English Clergy' and 'Scottish Marriages'.

Condition

In the original decorative cloth binding. Externally, smart, with darkening to the spine. Rubbing and bumping to the extremities and faint marks to the boards. Hinges are tender. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are generally bright and clean, with the odd spot.
