In the publisher's original cloth, with original pictorial advertisements, including Hamerton's particular printing press he invented, as well as five of his own beautiful etched illustrations. Collated complete.
Hamerton, an English artist who was a leading figure of the etching revival between 1850 and 1930, delves into the new processes of printmaking. He advocates the importance of good-quality etching often missed in mass producing factories.
Condition
In the publisher's original cloth. Externally, smart with the occasional mark. Slight fading to the spine and rear joint. Mild bumping to the head and tail of the spine, with slight shelf wear to board extremities. End papers are clean with the small rare mark. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and generally clean. Small smudge marks to leaves pp.44-46 and minimal spotting to extremities of plate adjoining p.92.
