Signed by the author to the half title page of volume one, with the authors love, 1880.
These volumes give a fascinating insight into the travels of Captain S. H. Jones-Parry who kept a diary as he travelled around the world via Ceylon, New Zealand, Australia, Torres Straits, China, Japan and the United States.
With sixteen pages of publisher adverts to the rear of volume two.
Condition
In the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally, generally smart with some fading to the spine. Some bumping to the head and tail of the spine and some marks to the boards. With bookplates to both pastedowns for Meredith of Pentre Bychan. Signed by the author to the half title page. Rear hinge of volume one starting but remains firm. Internally, firmly bound with generally bright and clean pages.
