This agricultural work was written anonymously by Richard Jefferies and provides a detailed study of game keeping, rural living and agriculture. The work depicts a picture of the life of a gamekeeper, based of his friendship with the keeper of the Burderop estate.
Condition
In the publisher's original gilt cloth. Externally very smart with rubbing and bumping to the extremities slight marks to the boards and small closed tears to the head and tail of the spine. Bookseller's label to the rear pastedown. Internally firmly bound with pages lightly age toned to the extremities and generally clean with spotting to the blanks, frontispiece and title page.
