Bound in the publisher's original wraps.
An exceptionally scarce programme for the operatic performance of 'Billee Taylor', a nautical comic opera first performed at the Imperial Theatre on Saturday October 30th, 1880, at 8pm.
Written by Edward Solomon with a libretto by H. P. Stevens, this initial performance starred Phillip Day, Furneaux Cook and J. A. Arnold, among others, and was produced under the direction of Charles Harris.
It subsequently played at the Standard Theatre in New York the following year.
With the original advertisements to the rear, including for Oysters, 'Zoedone', a non-alcoholic champagne, and for various other performances.
Condition
Bound in the publisher's original wraps. Externally, very smart, with light edge wear, a little age toning and the odd mark. Pages are bright internally, a little age toned.
