Complete in two volumes. Each volume contains a folding colour frontispiece and one folding colour map. Collated complete. A detailed study into the life and works of Paul, commonly known as Paul the Apostle and Saint Paul, a Christian apostle who spread the teachings of Jesus in the first-century world. For his contributions towards the New Testament, he is generally regarded as one of the most important figures of the Apostolic Age. With chapters on Written by Dean Frederic William Farrar, a senior-ranking cleric of the Church of England, schoolteacher and author. He was a pallbearer at the funeral of Charles Darwin, and a member of the Cambridge Apostles secret society.

Condition

Bound in full tooled calf. Externally, smart with rubbing to the extremities and light fading to the spine. The odd small mark to the boards. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright with the odd small spot, light spotting to the foredge and endpapers. Small creases and the odd small closed tear to the folding plates. Minor age toning to the extremities with a contemporary ink inscription to the front pastedown.
