A vanishingly scarce directory for British India, an interesting reference work on India during Crown rule. This directory focuses solely on the Bengal Presidency, which included present day Myanmar and Bangladesh.

By Thacker, Spink, & Company, who begun publishing their directory in 1864. Under different names, such as 'Thacker's Indian Directory', they continued in publication until 1960.

Seventy-eight pages of adverts to the rear, in addition to five to the front.

Condition

Rebound in a modern cloth binding, with renewed endpapers. Externally, smart. Spine is faded. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean.
