A charming copy of this daily prayer book, in French, containing prayer and meditation guides for the day. This work presents useful prayers for different types of intercession and times-of-day, including morning prayer, prayers for confession, the order of mass, the order of the rosary, and many others.
This particular work was approved by Charles Théodore Colet, who was a French Roman Catholic Archbishop from 1875 until his death in 1883.
Illustrated with a frontispiece.
With a bookseller label of Feret et Fils and a previous owners ink inscription dated 1880.
Condition
Bound in full morocco. Externally, lovely, with light shelf wear only. Bookseller label to the front paste down, with a previous owner's ink inscription to the front endpaper. Internally, firmly bound. Pages bright and clean, with the odd mark.
