The first English edition of this Karl Baedeker handbook covering Lower Egypt. Published in the original German in 1877.

Comprising routes covering Alexandria, Cairo, Suez, the Fayum and the Peninsula of Sinai.

A second part covering Upper Egypt was published in 1885.

In the publisher's original cloth binding. 

Illustrated with sixteen maps (three of which are folding), twenty-nine plans (two of which are folding), seven views and numerous vignettes. Collated, complete.

Condition

In the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally, with discolouration and marks to the cloth. Rubbing to the extremities, most notably to the spine head and tail. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are generally bright and clean, with handling marks to the endpapers. Ink inscription to the front free endpaper.
