Illustrated with a monochrome frontispiece and thirty four engraved illustrations including plates and vignettes. Collated, complete. Illustrated by John MacWhirter, engraved by R. Paterson. 

A lovely collection of poetry, including historical, pastoral and romantic poems appreciating the Scottish landscapes and life. These are written mainly by prominent authors Sir Walter Scott and Robert Burns, as well as Allan Ramsay. 

In the publisher's original cloth in the blue variant binding. 

Condition

In the publisher's original cloth. Externally smart with fading to the spine and extremities, minor marks to the boards, and bumping to the extremities. Prize bookplate to the front pastedown. Front hinge weak. Internally, binding weak. Pages generally bright with offsetting to the half title, and the odd spot, heavier to the front.
