This autobiographical travelogue was written by William Minturn and documents the author's journey from New York to St. Louis alongside his brother. Minturn also shares his thoughts on Mormonism and the exploitation of labourers.

Condition
In the publisher's original cloth. Externally generally smart with minor marks to the boards, fading to the spine, bumping and slight rubbing to the extremities of the boards, slight loss to the cloth to the head and tail of the spine and rear joint tender. Hinges tender with the odd mark and spot to the endpapers with a tidemark and a past owner's name written in ink to the front. Internally, the odd page tender with generally bright pages ad the odd spot and handling mark.
