Smartly bound in half morocco.

Illustrated with a frontispiece, one colour map, thirty plates, and in-text engravings. Collated, complete.

A detailed account of the author's time on tour with the Prince of Wales - the future Edward VII - through India, with mention of his visits to the courts of Greece, Egypt, Spain, and Portugal. Containing a diary or journal kept from day to day, in which the Prince of Wales is the central figure around which events revolve.

Written by Sir William Howard Russell, an Irish reporter with The Times, considered to have been one of the first modern war correspondents.

Illustrated by Sydney Prior Hall, a British portrait painter and illustrator.

Condition

In a half morocco binding with marbled paper to the boards. Externally, smart. Light rubbing to the joints, spine, and extremities. A small amount of lifting to the tail of the rear joint. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean, with only a few scattered spots.
