This autobiographical work was written by Mary Cone. The work provides a travel guide and an account of Cone's time in California with a description of the history, topography and geography of California and accounts of Cone's various trips to noted locations.

Condition
In the publisher's original cloth. Externally very smart with slight bumping and rubbing to the extremities. Minor marks to the boards and very small closed tears to the head of the spine. Slight marks to the endpapers. Internally generally firmly bound with lightly age toned pages with occasional light handling marks and the odd spot. Plate of Vernal Falls mis-bound, facing pp. 174 instead of pp.170.
