With notes and reflections from Felicite Robert de La Mennais, a French Catholic priest, philosopher and political theorist who was one of the most influential intellectuals of Restoration France.
Condition
In the original crushed morocco binding. Externally, smart with rubbing and minor bumping to the extremities. Light fading to the spine with the odd small mark to the boards. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright with scattered spotting. Watered silk endpapers.
