    First edition. A continuation of the theological exploration begun in Literature and Dogma, this piece challenges the conventional religious discourse and advocates for a Christianity understood through the lens of human experience rather than supernatural dictates. With chapters on the God of miracles, the God of metaphysics, the God of experience, and more. Written by Matthew Arnold, an English poet and cultural critic.

    Condition

    Bound in half calf with marbled boards. Externally, smart with light rubbing to the extremities and fading to the spine. The odd small mark to the boards. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright with light scattered spotting, predominantly to the first and last few pages. Light age toning to the endpapers with the bookseller's label to the front pastedown.
