This was written by the John Francis Erskine Goodeve, the 27th Earl of Mar, and provides a genealogical history of the Earldom of Mar, discussing the history of the family, their lineage and important transcribed letters from members of the family.

Condition

In the publisher's original cloth. Externally smart with bumping and slight rubbing to the extremities, fading to the spine and extremities of the boards, slight marks, small closed tears to the head and tail of the spine and a closed tear to the rear of the spine. Binder's label to the rear pastedown. Spotting and offsetting to the endpapers. Internally firmly bound with generally bright pages with scattered spotting throughout.
