This contains two volumes which have been bound in one, the first is Suggestions Introductory to A Study of the Aeneid (1875) by H. Nettleship and the second is Plato's Biography of Socrates by A. E. Taylor (1917)

The Aeneid is a Latin epic poem that tells the legendary story of Aeneas a Trojan who fled the fall of Troy and travelled to Italy. Nettleship offers suggestions on the study of this epic poem. 

A. E. Taylor delivered this paper on March 18th 1917 on Plato's biography of Socrates. The work is interesting for exploring the connection between the great men.

Condition

In hardback binding. Externally, worn with rubbing and fading to the spine and marks to the boards. Front hinge is starting and generally firm. Previous owner inscription to the title page. Internally, firmly bound with generally bright and clean pages with some scattered spots.
