A signed presentation copy of this very scarce limited edition work, with this being number 44 of 105 copies produced.

Inscribed 'The Lord Hawkesbury with the compts of the Compiler, Setp 1894', to the title page head. With a tipped in letter from Rev. George Streynsham Master, the compiler, to the front free endpaper, stating 'I am afraid that my master book, a copy of which I have much pleasure in offering for your acceptance, will give you but scanty information'.

Charles Jenkinson, 1st Earl of Liverpool, known as Lord Hawkesbury between 1786 and 1796, was a British statesman. He was the father of Prime Minister Robert Jenkinson, 2nd Earl of Liverpool. With his bookplate to the front pastedown.

Illustrated with a portrait frontispiece, eleven plates, and one genealogical table. Collated, complete.

Rev. George Streynsham Master offers a detailed genealogical study of his family and their ascendants, reaching back as far as the 1000s.
 
Rebacked, retaining the original boards and endpapers.

With the bookplate of the Wigan Free Public Library to the front free endpaper, and their stamp to the title page verso.

Condition

Rebacked in morocco, retaining the publisher's original cloth covered boards. Externally, excellent. Retaining the original endpapers, with hinges reinforced. Bookplate to front pastedown. Tipped in letter to front free endpaper. Library bookplate to front free endpaper, with their stamp to title page verso. Newspaper clippings to verso of front free endpaper. Internally, firmly bound. Inscription to title page head. Pages otherwise clean and bright.
