The first edition of this vanishingly scarce work.

A fable of a student who was so tall that he could reach up to the sky and take down the moon, a comical tale following the adventures of the student and the moon.

By Charles Timothy Brooks, a noted American translator of German literature. 

The illustrations are often erroneously attributed to Wilhelm Busch.

Condition

In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally, generally smart, with light rubbing to the boards and spine, and a few small marks. Minor bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. Front hinge is starting but firm. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean with a few light spots and handling marks.
