A scarce work.
A charming rendition of the beloved fairy tale 'Cinderella', complete with eight colourful leaves depicting the tale, alongside the text.
The illustrations in this work are by Walter Crane, known for being an artist and book illustrator, one of the most influential children's book creators of his time. He often illustrated children's books, including editions of 'The Frog Prince', 'Baby's Own Aesop', and 'The First of May: A Fairy Masque'. He was an admirer of the Pre-Raphaelites, Italian Renaissance, and Japanese art.
Undated, dated from Jisc from a copy held at the Victoria and Albert Museum Libraries.

Condition
In the original publisher's paper wraps. Externally, generally smart, with light handling marks to the wraps. Wear to the backstrip, with a small tear to the head, and a repair to the tail. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are generally bright and clean, with a few scattered spots.
