This uncommon work was written by Edward Joseph Lowe, a British botanist and astronomer, and features a detailed study on leaved plants. The work provides descriptions on a variety of species of leaved plants including their culture and appearance, with illustrations for each.
Condition
In the publisher's original cloth. Externally generally smart with fading to the spine and extremities, bumping to the extremities, a slight lean, small closed tears to the head and tail of the spine, and slight marks to the boards. Light tidemarks to the endpapers. Internally, binding occasionally tender. Spotting and tidemarks to the rear, with pages otherwise generally clean throughout with the odd spot, a closed tear to the head of the title page, and minimal age toning.
