Allman's Penny School series. Very scarce work. Part VI of 'A Progressive Arithmetic' from the science and art section of this repertory of instruction in rudimentary knowledge. The Allman's Penny School Series was a collection of educational pocket booklets produced by Thomas Jefferson Allman, an English publisher and bookseller based in London during the nineteenth century. Intended to provide basic knowledge in a variety of different subjects, from languages, sciences, and art, to mathematics. This volume is concerned with arithmetic progression, or the sequencing of numbers, with sections on the greatest common measure, least common multiples, and fractions. Edited by Francis Young.

Condition

In the original paper wraps with a plain paper wrap attached. Externally, sound with light wear and the odd small crease to the extremities. Contemporary ink inscriptions to the front wraps and title. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright with the odd small spot or handling mark. The occasional ink stamp to the page edges.
