An interesting look at the mindset and opinions of Victorian society on a range of poignant subjects.

    Bookplate of Emerson Bainbridge to the front paste downs. Bainbridge was a mining consulting engineer, philanthropist and Liberal Party politician.

    Condition

    In a half calf binding with marbled paper to the boards. Externally, smart. Light rubbing to the spines and extremities. Bookplate to the front paste downs. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and generally clean, with scattered spots to the endpapers and to the first and last few pages.
