The complete Centenary Edition of Sir Walter Scott's popular 'Waverly' novels, which gained their name (from the first novel of the series) due to the fact that Scott did not publicly acknowledge authorship until 1827. 

Complete in twenty-five volumes. 

Uniformly bound in half calf, with marbled boards.

These historical novels were among the most popular and widely read in Europe for nearly a century, with particular titles such as 'Ivanhoe' inspiring contemporary popular depictions of historical figures and settings, such as Robin Hood.

Condition

Uniformly bound in half calf, with marbled boards. Externally, very smart, with general rubbing to the extremities, heaviest to the leather corners. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and generally clean, with occasional spots to the first and last couple leaves.
