Articles have been rebacked onto card by a previous owner. With ink notations to the head of the articles. 

Comprised of the following five articles:

A letter to the editor of The Gloucester Mercury regarding The Severn Bridge and Tunnel Schemes. Dated Saturday, November 25, 1871. Written by Leonard Bruton.

An article surrounding a protest against the closing of a portion of the Thames and Severn Canal. Printed in The Standard, Thursday January 11, 1894.

An article from Stroud Journal and Cirencester Gazette, Jan 5th, 1894, surrounding the closing of a portion of the Thames and Severn Canal. This article details a meeting of the Stroud Chamber of Commerce to discuss the issue.

Condition

Five articles, rebacked onto card and paper. Externally, very good, with light edge wear and the odd closed tear. Light handling marks to pages with an ink annotation to the head.
