Including some of his most famous works such as, 'The Rivals', 'The School for Scandal', and 'The Duenna'. Together with a memoir of his life, by G. G. S. Richard Brinsley Sheridan was an Irish satirist, Whig politician, writer and owner of the London Theatre Royal. He is best known for his famous play, 'The School for Scandal', which is widely regarded as one of the greatest comedies of manners written in English.
Condition
In half calf binding with gilt detail. Externally, very smart with some light rubbing to the extremities. Some fading to the spine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages age-toned but otherwise very bright and clean. Spotting to the frontispiece and the front blanks. Offsetting from the frontispiece, to the title page.
