Illustrated, Leather Binding, Very Scarce

A very scarce periodical, this being Volume III, for September 1869 to February 1870.

This volume includes 'Off the Scent', a novel by Arnold Heath, 'Straight to the Goal', a novel anonymously written, a selection of poetry, and articles including 'Alfred Tennyson: His Life and Writings', 'A Day with the Macdonnells in Bonamargie', 'The Great Shakespearian Jubilee of 1696', 'Lord Byron and Mrs. Beecher Stowe', and more. 

Illustrated with twelve plates.

Condition

In a half calf binding with cloth to the boards. Externally, generally smart, with rubbing to the leather, and a little lighter rubbing to the cloth. Minor fading to the extremities. A few minor marks to the boards. Loss of leather to the tail of the spine. Minor bumping to the extremities. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright with some scattered spots, including to the plates.
