This children's novel was written by the Countess of Segur and concludes her 'Fleurville' trilogy which follows Sophie de Rean. This volume follows Sophie and her family and friends as they enjoy their summer holidays at the Chateau de Fleurville, and stumble upon an adventure when they are surprised by two castaways.

Condition

Bound in half calf with cloth to the boards. Externally generally smart with bumping and rubbing to the extremities, fading to the spine and extremities and marks to the boards. Binder's label to the front pastedown with past owner's signature dated 1873 to the front free endpaper. Internally firmly bound with generally bright pages and light spotting and pencil annotations throughout, spotting heavier to the front and rear.
