In the publisher's distinguishable red cloth binding, with gilt.

The first of three Baedeker volumes dedicated to Italy, this one exploring northern Italy and Corsica. Providing fifty-four routes between Paris, Nice, Vienna, Genoa, Lake of Como, Milan, Verona, Parma and more. 

Illustrated with six maps (including a folding frontispiece and folding rear endpaper) and twenty-seven plans (four folding). Collated, complete.

They contain, among other things, maps and information regarding routes, travel facilities, noteworthy sights, attractions and museums, written by specialists.

Condition

In the original cloth binding. Externally, front hinge is held only by one of the cords. Fading to the spine and rubbing and bumping to the extremities. With a small split to the cloth of the front joint. Internally, firmly bound. Scattered spotting throughout.
