With a frontispiece and eleven further plates. Collated complete. 

Written by Matthew Hale Smith, a journalist and author, who often wrote under the pseudonym 'Burleigh'. Sunshine and Shadow in New York draws from his own experiences to represent both the highs and lows of the city.

Condition

In the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally smart with bumping to the head and tail of the spine resulting in slight loss to the cloth. Small puncture marks to front joint. Slight fading to spine. Hinges strained. Internally firmly bound. Pages generally bright and clean with the odd spot and age toning.
