    Colour Plates, First Edition, Illustrated, Publishers' Original Binding, Uncommon

    Containing a series of nursery rhymes, written and fully illustrated in colour by artist and illustrator J. E. Rogers. The first edition of this uncommon work, in the original publisher's boards. An uncommon book.

    Condition

    In the original publisher's quarter cloth binding over paper covered boards. Externally sound with shelf wear, chipping with considerable loss to spine, marks to boards, bumped to extremities. Previous owner's gift inscription dated "Xmax 1868" to title page. Internally, firmly bound. Minor light spotting to endpapers, otherwise pages bright and clean.
