A collection of the poetry of Quintus Horatius Flaccus, or Horace, considered the leading Roman lyric poet during the time of Augustus. With an introduction and revisions made by Hugh Andrew Johnstone Munro, a British classical scholar. Illustrated with gems from the collection of Charles William King, a British Victorian writer and gem collector.

Condition

Bound in half straight grained morocco with marbled boards. Externally, sound with rubbing to the extremities and the odd mark to the board. Fading to the spine. Front joint starting but firm. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean with light spotting to the endpapers.
