Leather Binding

Thomas Babington Macaulay, 1st Baron Macaulay, PC (25 October 1800 ? 28 December 1859) was a British historian and Whig politician. He wrote extensively as an essayist and reviewer; his books on British history were hailed as literary masterpieces.

Condition

In a full calf leather binding with gilt embellishment to the front board. Externally, generally smart, lightly rubbed in places. Internally, generally firmly bound, though front hinge is tender. Pages are generally bright and clean with some scattered light foxing. There is an ink inscription to the recto of front free end papers.
