A historical account of New Zealand, exploring the past, contemporary history, as well as prospects for the future of the country. The author, a Reverend and missionary to New Zealand, pays special attention to the religious history of the country, in particular in its colonisation. 

Illustrated with a frontispiece, seven plates, and headpieces. Collated, complete.

Condition

In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally, generally smart, a little rubbed. Minor bumping to the head and tail of the pine and to the extremities. Light marks to the cloth. Front hinge is a little strained but remains firm. Rear hinge is starting but firm. Prize inscription to the verso of the front endpaper. Internally, generally firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean.
