    Description

    Rebound

    A collection of four plays by the national bard William Shakespeare, from the Bernhard Tauchnitz series of the plays of William Shakespeare in 37 parts. This group is comprised of: No. 2, 'The Comedy of Errors;' No. 4 'Love's Labour's Lost ,' No. 5 'Midsummer-Night's Dream,' and No. 7 'As You Like It.' 

    Dated from Jisc 1864. A pocket-sized edition.

    These copies are an ex-library bound in without the title page. 

    Condition

    In a quarter calf binding over marbled boards with blue endpapers. Externally a trifle rubbed with some shelf wear and some scuffing to the leather. The volume of 'The Comedy of Errors' has suffered a minor loss to the spine, and 'A Midsummer Night's Dream' had a minimal loss tot he tail of the spine. The head and tail of the spine are chipped to each volume. Ex-library with a library bookplate to the front free endpaper of each volume and a faint stamp to the first leaf of each volume. Lacking the title pages. Internally, firmly bound. The pages are generally clean with some age toning, as usual, and the occasional mark to the odd leaf.
