Description

Publishers' Original Binding

A theological work from British Prime Minister William Ewart Gladstone. Born in Scotland and with an intensely religious mother of evangelical Episcopal origins, and a father who was a member of the Church of England, having previosly been a Presbyterian.

For some time in his adult life Gladstone was aligned with Anglicanism, however by the time he had entered parliament he had returned to the evangelical outlook of his boyhood. This slight work details Gladstone's religious attitudes, and is reprinted from his earlier theological study 'Good Words'.

With a small library stamp to head of title page, and no further library markings. With three pages of advertisements to the rear.
