Includes frontispiece and title page photographs of Cowper's home at Olney and his modest summer house. Includes a biography of the life of the author, many of his minor poems, his translations and his most substantial work, The Task. William Cowper is considered a forerunner of the Romantics for his subject matter, everyday life and the English countryside.

Condition

In a calf binding with blindstamped detailing. Externally, generally smart with bumping and rubbing to corners and head and tail of spine. Internally, firmly bound with light foxing to page edges, otherwise clean and bright.
