The first edition of this annual for the year 1865. The works were published from 1863 to 1866.

Illustrated with a monochrome mounted portrait frontispiece, monochrome vignettes, and forty monochrome plates, including folding plates. Collated, complete. 

A fantastic annual publication by William Humber, documenting developments in engineering in the late nineteenth century, and other news in engineering. This volume of the annual discusses the constructions of harbours and ports, improved systems of fortifications, the history of drainage and sewerage in London and much more. The work is accompanied by many fantastic diagrams and illustrations. 

A scarce volume from this series of annual engineering publications.

Condition

In the publisher's original cloth. Externally very smart with minimal edge wear and marks to the boards. Library location to the tail of the spine. 'Bradford Library' stamps to the endpapers and to the odd page to the front. Internally firmly bound with minimal age toning and the odd minor handling mark and spot.
