Uniformly bound in later half calf, with marbled boards. Retaining the half titles and original blanks. 

Folding map to Vol I. Collated, complete. 

A detailed history of the prominent families of England, including great landowners, those of royal descent, and important political figures. The Percies, Grosvenors, Fitzroys, Clintons, Villiers, Seymours and Lennoxes are among the families explored here.

Written by historical writer John Langton Sanford, and journalist and editor of The Spectator, Meredith Townsend.

Condition

Uniformly bound in later half calf, with marbled boards. Retaining the half titles and original blanks. Externally, very smart, with really only minor fading to the spines and a hint of shelf wear. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and generally clean, with the odd spot to the first and last few leaves. With a few annotations made in ink to the contents pages.
