Isabella Beeton's extensive guide to cookery and running a Victorian household, offering a wide variety of recipes, hints for the organisation of kitchens and larders, marketing, and a calendar of food in season. She also gives advice on table decorations, how to wait a table, how to set a table, and how to carve meats and fish. 

Beeton's work was originally serialised as 'The Englishwoman's Domestic Magazine' in twenty-four monthly instalments in 'The Englishwoman's Domestic Magazine', her husband's publication.

Bound in full burgundy cloth. Closely trimmed, not impacting the text.

Bound in full burgundy cloth. Lacking front blanks. Externally, smart, with rubbing and bumping to the extremities. Crease running down the back strip. Marks to the cloth. Internally, firmly bound. Title page closely trimmed. Pages are slightly toned, with scattered spotting throughout.
